Narrative
AFTER ESTABLISHING RADIO CONTACT WITH LVK TWR. THE CTLR ADVISED ME TO RPT ENTERING A 2 MI BASE FOR RWY 25R. I ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AND READ IT BACK TO THE TWR. AS I CONTINUED TOWARDS THE ARPT; I HEARD SEVERAL OTHER ACFT ADVISE LVK TWR THAT THEY WERE INBOUND FOR LNDG. AS I APCHED 3 MI FROM LVK; I WAS INSTRUCTED TO MAKE A L TURN TO THE L DOWNWIND FOR SEPARATION BTWN MYSELF AND A CITATION JET THAT WAS INBOUND ON THE ILS RWY 25. AT THIS POINT I BECAME SLIGHTLY CONFUSED AND ASKED THE CTLR TO VERIFY MY INSTRUCTIONS. I READ BACK WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS INSTRUCTED TO DO AND BEGAN A SLOW L TURN TO JOIN THE L DOWNWIND. AS I CROSSED THE FINAL APCH COURSE TO RWY 25R; I WAS ABOUT 1900 FT MSL. THE CTLR ADVISED ME THAT I WAS XING OVER THE FINAL APCH COURSE AND FAILED TO COMPLY WITH HIS INSTRUCTIONS. HE THEN GAVE ME NEW INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVISED ME TO EXECUTE A 270 DEG TURN BACK TO THE ARPT BEHIND THE CITATION JET AND CLRED ME TO LAND ON RWY 25L. I APOLOGIZED AND FOLLOWED HIS INSTRUCTIONS. I BELIEVE I WAS CONFUSED ABOUT THE CTLR'S INSTRUCTIONS BECAUSE OF MY SEVERE FATIGUE AND DIMINISHING PERFORMANCE FROM LACK OF WATER AND FOOD. MY EMPLOYER WAS A PAX IN THE R SEAT OF THE AIRPLANE AND WAS ADMONISHING ME ABOUT OTHER TFC IN THE AREA AND I SHOULD CONTINUE TO GET UPDATED INFO OF THEIR POS IN RELATION TO OURS; THIS WAS DISTRACTING. I ALSO BELIEVE THE CTLR SHOULD HAVE INSTRUCTED THE FASTER CITATION JET TO SLOW DOWN SINCE I WAS CLOSER TO THE ARPT AND SLOWER. I FURTHER BELIEVE THE CTLR WAS ALSO OVERWHELMED WITH THE INCREASE IN TFC HE WAS CTLING.
