LTT FLT CREW NEGLECTS TO REVIEW THE DEP PROC AND FLIES THE WRONG HDG DEP SJC.

Narrative

DEPARTING SJC ON IFR FLT PLAN; WE WERE GIVEN THE LOUPE 1 (LOUPE1.DYBLO) DEP. AT 1.8 DME; I CONFIRMED WITH MY FO I WAS TO INTERCEPT THE 339 DEG RADIAL FROM SJC VOR. THIS WAS CONFIRMED AND I DID SO. APPROX 20 SECONDS LATER; THE FO SAID 'TURN NOW TO A 120 DEG HDG.' I DID SO. ATC AT THIS TIME INFORMED US WE HAD NOT COMPLIED WITH THE DEP AND HAD ENTERED OAKLAND'S AIRSPACE. WE RECEIVED VECTORS AND CONTINUED ON THE PUBLISHED DEP WITHOUT FURTHER EVENT. THIS WAS MY FIRST FLT WITH THIS CARRIER AND I WAS PRESUMING THE FO WOULD GUIDE ME CORRECTLY THROUGH THE DEP PROC. WE DEPARTED THE RAMP INTENDING TO GO TO A RUN-UP BLOCK TO COMPLETE THE FLT PLAN ENTERING IN THE GPS. ON TAXI WE WERE ADVISED OUR TKOF CLRNC WOULD BE AT XA05 WHICH WAS 4 MINS AWAY. I GLANCED AT THE DEP PROC AND ADVISED THE FO TO CALL MY TURNS. THE FO'S WORKLOAD WAS TOO HIGH AT THIS POINT AND I SHOULD HAVE PULLED INTO THE RUN-UP BLOCK AND FULLY REVIEWED MY DEP PROC; AND WE SHOULD HAVE FULLY BRIEFED BEFORE ACCEPTING A TKOF CLRNC. I SHOULD HAVE SLOWED EVERYTHING DOWN AND WAITED ON THE GND UNTIL WE WERE FULLY READY AND BRIEFED TO FLY.
