Narrative

I HAD BEEN ASSIGNED A READY RESERVE POS; READY RESERVE POS #1; XA00-XI00. CREW SCHEDULE THEN AMENDED MY SHOW TIME TO XC15 DUE TO REST REQUIREMENTS. AT APPROX XA00; CREW SCHEDULING CALLED MY CELL PHONE AND CALLER; NO NAME GIVEN; SAID 'HELLO; OOPS; I'M SORRY.' I KNEW THIS WAS CREW SCHEDULING AND I INFORMED THEM THAT I HAD DISCUSSED THIS POSSIBILITY WITH PERSON X IN CREW SCHEDULING THE PREVIOUS EVENING; YET CREW SCHEDULING CALLED ME ANYWAY VIOLATING MY REST PERIOD. NO ASSIGNMENT WAS GIVEN TO ME AT THIS TIME. THE SCHEDULER ASKED IF I WANTED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPVR. I SAID NO; I WAS GOING TO RETURN TO REST FOR ANOTHER 8 HRS FOR THE INTERRUPTION. AT APPROX XB00; THE CHIEF PLT OFFICE CALLED ME TO DISCUSS THIS. I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND HE THEN SAID HE WOULD CALL SCHEDULE TO FIND OUT MORE INFO. I INFORMED HIM THAT HE; TOO; WAS VIOLATING MY REST PERIOD. AT APPROX XB25; HE CALLED AGAIN; ENCOURAGING ME TO SHOW UP AND TAKE THIS ASSIGNMENT. WE DISCUSSED THIS FURTHER AND I AGAIN SAID THAT I WAS STILL IN MY REST PERIOD UNTIL XC15 AND THAT THIS WAS THE 3RD INTERRUPTION. HE SAID THAT HE HAD DISCUSSED IT WITHIN THE OFFICE AND THAT I SHOULD TAKE THE ASSIGNMENT OR GET A MISSED ASSIGNMENT. I FELT THAT I WAS UNREASONABLY INSTRUCTED TO FLY OR FACE A DISCIPLINARY ACTION DUE TO THE MISSED ASSIGNMENT.
