C550 PLT EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION WITH CTLR HANDLING ON DEP FROM MCO.

Narrative

I TOOK OFF FROM MCO AND TWR HANDED ME OFF TO DEP. I HAD RECEIVED THE ORLANDO EIGHT DEP WITH 120.15 FOR DEP FREQ. I REALIZED THAT I HAD NOT PUT THE FREQ IN THE RADIO; BUT THE DEP WAS CLIPPED TO THE YOLK. I SHOULD HAVE ASKED THE TWR TO VERIFY THE FREQ; BUT INSTEAD; I JUST LOOKED ON THE DEP. WOW THERE'S FIVE OF THEM. IF YOU ARE BTWN SUCH AND SUCH RADIAL THIS FREQ; IF BTWN SUCH AND SUCH RADIAL; THIS ONE. IF YOU ARE BELOW 5000 FT; THIS ONE; IF YOU ARE ABOVE 5000 FT; THIS ONE. IF YOU ARE BELOW 5500 FT; THIS ONE; IF YOU ARE ABOVE 5500 FT; THIS ONE. WELL; AFTER I READ ALL OF THIS; WE ARE LEVEL AT 5000 FT AND I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE. SO I PICK THE ONE 5000 FT AND BELOW 127.32. A CTLR RESPONDED TO MY CALL AND BOY DID THE CTLR GET BENT OUT OF SHAPE BECAUSE I USED THAT FREQ. TO MY KNOWLEDGE; IT IS NOT A VIOLATION TO DIAL UP A WRONG FREQ. ALL THE CTLR HAD TO DO IS KINDLY TELL ME TO CONTACT DEP ON 120.15. IF HE OR SHE WAS HAVING A BAD DAY; SO BE IT; TAKE A BREAK OR BETTER YET; GO HOME. DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THE PLTS. NOW HE OR SHE HAS DISTR ME FROM DOING WHAT I NEED TO BE DOING; FLY THE AIRPLANE. THIS IS WHY I'M SENDING IN THIS RPT. THE CTLRS ARE THERE TO HELP US IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. WE NEED TO STAY THAT WAY TOWARDS EACH OTHER. I HAVE SELECTED THE WRONG FREQ BEFORE; AND THEY USUALLY GIVE YOU THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE ON OR SAY GO BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUS FREQ. WHEN I CONTACTED 120.15; THE CTLR WAS VERY NICE. HE OR SHE JUST ASKED IF THEY GAVE ME A DEP FREQ; IN MY CLRNC AND I TOLD HIM/HER THAT I LOOKED UP THE FREQ; ON THE DEP AND CHOSE THE WRONG ONE. HE OR SHE SAID IT WAS OK; AND WAS JUST CURIOUS. I THINK HE OR SHE KNEW THE OTHER CTLR TOTALLY LOST IT.
