Narrative
ATC HAD ISSUED A REVISED ROUTING TO IAH DUE TO TSTMS. FIRST FIX OF NEW ROUTING WAS ADM (ARDMORE). READBAC WAS CONFIRMED CORRECT BY ATC. I; AS FO AND PLT MONITORING; WAS READING BAC NEW ROUTING TO CAPT WHO WAS ENTERING DATA INTO FMC. I HAD THE HIGH CHART OUT REVIEWING AND TRYING TO CONFIRM 3 LETTER IDENTIFIERS FOR THE NAV POINTS. DISTRS WERE MANY; INCLUDING A FLT ATTENDANT IN THE COCPIT TELLING US OF A SIT WITH A PAX IN COACH; CREW STUDYING WX RADAR; A BUSY ATC FREQ; TRYING TO WATCH THE CAPT PROGRAMMING THE FMC. DURING THIS TIME; THE ACFT WAS IN A L TURN WHICH I ASSUMED WAS TURNING TO THE HDG OF OUR FIRST FIX. BY THE TIME THE ACFT ROLLED OUT ON AN EASTERLY HDG; ATC TOLD US TO MAE AN IMMEDIATE R TURN TO A HDG OF S AND AT THE SAME TIME WERE TOLD TO MAE AN IMMEDIATE DSCNT TO 3000 FT. DURING THIS TIME WE RECEIVED A TA FROM TCASII. THE BEST I CAN RECALL AFTER THIS HAPPENED; ATC RECONFIRMED OUR CLRNC TO FIRST FIX ADM WHICH WE PROCEEDED TO WITH NO FURTHER PROBS THROUGH COMPLETION OF FLT. WE WERE NOT GIVEN ANY PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL. THE CAPT COMMENTED THAT HE HAD PROGRAMMED ADM INCORRECTLY.
