AN A319 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE COCPIT ENTRY DOOR LOCING; ALARM AND EYPAD CTLR DEFERRED INOP IN CONFLICT WITH THE MEL.
Narrative
INBOUND FLT CREW WROTE THAT THEY HAD A COCPIT DOOR FAULT LIGHT ON THE CTLR; AND THAT THE MIDDLE DOOR LOC WAS HOT TO THE TOUCH. I CONTACTED OUR MAINT CTL FOR ADVICE. HE GAVE ME AN MEL RELIEF FOR THE WRITE-UP. WHILE PERFORMING THE MEL SPECIAL PROCS THE BUZZER DID NOT SOUND. I CONTACTED MAINT CTLR AGAIN AND HE TOLD ME TO MEL THE BUZZER UNDER ANOTHER MEL. WHEN YOU MEL THE BUZZER YOU NEED TO MEL THE EYPAD CTLR ALSO. I PERFORMED THE REQUIRED MEL SPECIAL PROCS ON THESE 2 SYS AND DISPATCHED THE ACFT. THE OUTBOUND CREW REVIEWED THE MEL'S AND FLEW TO ZZZ1. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE ACFT FLEW THROUGH ANOTHER HUB AND THE OUTBOUND CREW THERE DISPUTED THAT THE MEL WAS NOT PROPERLY USED. THE ACFT WAS REPAIRED AND TOO A 2 HR DELAY. A FELLOW MECH CALLED AND ADVISED THAT HE THOUGHT I USED THE WRONG MEL DUE TO THE FACT THE MEL SPECIAL PROCS FAILED. BUT LIE I SAID PREVIOUSLY MAINT CTLR ADVISED THAT IT WAS O TO MEL THE OTHER SYS. I FELT AT THE TIME IT WAS THE PROPER PROC; BUT AFTER MY CO-WORER BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTN I CAN SEE WHERE IT MAY BE AN IMPROPER MEL.
