Synopsis

A B737-400 ON AN EXTENDED MAINT DELAY FOR REMOVAL OF LNDG GEAR DOORS THE TECHNICIAN FORGETS TO ENTER A DEFERRED ITEM ON LUBED FUEL XFEED VALVE.

Narrative

ACFT WAS ON AN EXTENDED DELAY. WHEN I COMPLETED DOOR REMOVAL AND LUBED XFEED VALVE WE RELEASED BOARDING THEN WHILE I WAS INSPECTING AREA; MAKING SURE EVERYTHING SECURED; I FOUND T-BOLT LOOSE (REFER LOG X). SO NOW WE HAD PAX LOADED; RAMP WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF THEY COULD LOAD THE PITS. GATE AGENTS WAS WANTING HOW MUCH LONGER THE DELAY WAS GOING TO BE. PLT WANTING TO KNOW WHAT TO TELL THE PAX. LINE MAINT AND OUR SUPVR WAS WANTING ADVISE TIMES. AND I WAS WAITING FOR INSPECTION; SO WE COULD RETORQUE T-BOLT. WHEN WE COMPLETED EVERYTHING I CLRED WRITE-UP (REFER LOG X). I FORGOT TO CREATE A DEFERRAL FOR LUBING XFEED VALVE ON A DAILY BASIS. (REFER LOG Y) WHEN I WAS DOING A WALKAROUND INSPECTION ON ACFT X I NOTICED THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR CTR AND INNER DOOR SLIP MARKS ON THE STRUT WERE MOVED. (REFER LOG X). I CALLED MAINT CTL FOR A CDL (CONFIGN DEV LIST) WHICH THEY AUTH 32-10C. AS PER CDL 32-10C I REMOVED THE MAIN LNDG GEAR DOORS AND LUBED FUEL XFEED VALVE SHAFT. THEN WHEN I WAS MAKING SURE EVERYTHING IN THE AREA WAS SECURED; I NOTICED THE T-BOLT WAS LOOSE (REFER LOG Y). WHEN INSPECTOR X ARRIVED WE TORQUED BOLT PER MAINT MANUAL 32-11-42 3D(1). I CLRED LOG PAGES THEN THROUGH ALL THE CONFUSION REFER STATEMENT ABOVE I FORGOT TO CREATE A DEFERRAL; REMOVE AND REAPPLY GREASE DAILY ON XFEED VALVE SHAFT.
