A B737-700 HAD TWO COMPLETED JOBS THAT WERE ENTERED INCORRECTLY IN THE MAINT COMPUTER. THE COMPUTER WAS NOT CORRECTED FOR 7 DAYS.

A B737-700 HAD TWO COMPLETED JOBS THAT WERE ENTERED INCORRECTLY IN THE MAINT COMPUTER. THE COMPUTER WAS NOT CORRECTED FOR 7 DAYS.

Narrative

WHEN FINISHED WITH THIS ACFT WAS SENT TO HELP A MECH AT ANOTHER PLANE. UPON ACFT ARR; I DID THE WALKAROUND AND TIRE CHK. COMING OUT OF FLT STATION FLT ATTENDANT POINTED OUT WATER DRIPPING FROM OVERHEAD PANEL; JUST INSIDE L1 DOOR. ENTERED IN LOGBOOK BOTH TIRE CHK REQUIRED AND WATER LEAK. COMPLETED BOTH; SIGNED THEM OFF AND ACFT LEFT. LATER THAT DAY I ENTERED INTO BOTH LOG PAGES AND MADE A MISTAKE. I PUT THE SAME DISCREPANCY ON BOTH LOG PAGES. AT THIS TIME I TOOK THE LOGBOOK PAGES TO MR X TO SEE WHAT I COULD DO. TOLD NOTHING COULD BE DONE TILL ACFT IS BACK IN ZZZ THE NEXT DAY (OCT/THU/04). I TOLD MR X AT THIS POINT I WAS OFF THE NEXT 2 DAYS. HE SAID I COULD CORRECT IT THEN ON MY MONDAY. ON OCT/MON/04; ASKED MR X IF HE HAD LOG PAGE AND WHEN ACFT WAS GOING TO BE IN. HE COULD NOT FIND LOG PAGE; SAID MR X WOULD BE IN LATER AND MAYBE HE HAD LOG PAGE. MR X DID NOT HAVE LOG PAGE; SAID HE GAVE IT TO MR Z TO TAKE CARE OF. AS OF TODAY; OCT/WED/04; LOG PAGE IS STILL NOT CORRECT AND ACFT HAS NOT BEEN IN SO I COULD CORRECT IT.
