2 BE1900 ACFT WERE DISCOVERED IN A RECORD AUDIT TO HAVE EXCEEDED THE LNDG GEAR TIME CHANGE BY 1 YR.

Narrative

UPON DOING A RETURN AUDIT ON ACFT X; I DISCOVERED THE LNDG GEAR EXCEEDED THE CALENDAR RECOMMENDED TIME CHANGE. SINCE ACFT Y AND ACFT X WERE INDUCTED INTO THE COMPANY AT THE SAME TIME BY THE SAME PERSON; I IMMEDIATELY PERFORMED AN AUDIT OF ACFT X'S LNDG GEAR. I DISCOVERED THAT THE COMPUTER MAINT PROGRAM AND ACFT RECORDS DID NOT COINCIDE WITH EACH OTHER. WHILE PERFORMING AN IN-DEPTH AUDIT; IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE ACFT LNDG GEAR DID OVERRUN ITS TIME CHANGE BY OVER A YR DUE TO IMPROPER DATES. I IMMEDIATELY INFORMED THE DIRECTOR OF OPS TO CEASE ANY FLTS OF THIS ACFT INCLUDING THE RETURN TO FLT BACK TO ZZZ UNTIL THIS MATTER WAS ADDRESSED BY ALL. AS DISCLOSURE IN THE STATEMENT ABOVE ADDRESSING ACFT X; THE FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THIS HAVE BEEN DISCLOSED INCLUDING THE CORRECTIVE ACTION. ALL ACFT RECORDS CONCERNING LIFE LIMITED COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN AUDITED AND THESE 2 ACFT ARE THE ONLY ONES TO HAVE THIS PROB. I HAVE IMPLEMENTED NEW CONFORMITY CHK FOR THE COMPANY AT WHICH THIS WAS THE TOOL THAT IDENT THESE INFRACTIONS.
