Narrative
AFTER TKOF; OIL QUANTITIES WERE CHKED AND FOUND TO BE NORMAL (12-16 QUARTS). APPROX 1 HR LATER; THE R ENG WAS INDICATING 8 QUARTS OF OIL. IN THE NEXT 20 MINS; THE OIL QUANTITY DECLINED TO 4 QUARTS. A RADIO PATCH TO MAINT WAS ESTABLISHED AND OUR PROB DISCUSSED. DURING THE 10 MIN CONVERSATION; THE OIL FURTHER DECLINED TO 1 QUART. MAINT ADVISED THAT THERE WOULD BE OIL REMAINING IN THE R ENG EVEN AFTER THE GAUGE READ 0 QUARTS. AS WE WERE STILL LOSING OIL; THE QRH WAS REFED AND COMPLIED WITH. WE ELECTED TO CONTINUE TO OUR ORIGINAL DEST AS WE WERE AT THE TOP OF DSCNT BY THEN. WE PULLED THE PWR TO IDLE AND DECLARED AN EMER. WE REQUESTED EXPEDITED HANDLING TO RWY 27L. WE ELECTED TO LEAVE THE R ENG RUNNING BUT ONLY IN IDLE AS THE OIL PRESSURE AND OIL TEMP WERE WITHIN LIMITS. WHEN WE TURNED FINAL; WE USED ONLY L ENG THRUST. AT 5 MI ON FINAL; THE FIRST INDICATION OF LOW OIL PRESSURE WAS ANNOUNCED. WE LANDED ON RWY 27L WITHOUT INCIDENT. WHEN WE CLRED THE RWY; WE SECURED THE R ENG AND TAXIED TO THE GATE ON THE L ENG. AT THE GATE WE SHUT THE ACFT DOWN.
