BE23 PLT DESCRIBES PERCEIVED UNPROFESSIONAL ACTIONS ON THE PART OF HFD CTLRS.

Narrative

SIT OCCURRED DURING TAXIING FROM FBO TO RWY. ON A BUSY AFTERNOON; I WAS THE THIRD ACFT IN SHORT ORDER TO CALL IN RAPID SUCCESSION TO REQUEST TAXI TO RWY. I HEARD (AND MY PAX CONFIRMED) THE GND CTLR RESPONDED TO MY CALL WITH 'ACFT THAT JUST CALLED; TAXI TO RWY 2 ON TXWY ALPHA; HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29.' I RESPONDED 'TAXI TO RWY 2; HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29.' WHILE I WAS TAXIING; A PIPER TOMAHAWK LANDED ON RWY 2 AND EXITED THE RWY AND HELD SHORT OF TXWY A (THE PARALLEL TXWY) AS INSTRUCTED (AHEAD OF MY TAXIING ON ALPHA; BUT CLR ON THE SIDE OF THE PERPENDICULAR XING TXWY). THEN THE GND CTLR XMITTED IN A SARCASTIC AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER (MY PAX CONFIRMED THIS): 'ACFT TAXIING; YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T TAXI WITHOUT A CLRNC.' MY RESPONSE TO THIS WAS; 'IF YOU LISTEN TO YOUR TAPE YOU WOULD HEAR THAT YOU CLRED ME TO TAXI TO RWY 2 VIA ALPHA HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29.' THE GND CTLR CONTINUED WITH THE UNPROFESSIONAL SARCASTIC MANNER; 'WELL YOU DON'T REALLY NEED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29 NOW.' MY REACTION WAS TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 29 AND RADIO 'HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 29 AS PREVIOUSLY INSTRUCTED.' THEN I WAS CLRED TO CROSS RWY 29. WHILE PERFORMING THE RUNUP; I REQUESTED FLT FOLLOWING (FROM BDL APCH) THROUGH THE HFD CTLR (PER ATIS INFO); AND WAS IGNORED. I REQUESTED TKOF RWY 2 FROM THE TWR CTLR WITH MY REQUEST FOR A L TURNOUT TO THE SW. I WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. VERY SHORTLY AFTER TKOF; THE TWR CTLR (A DIFFERENT PERSON THAN THE GND CTLR) DIRECTED ME TO TURN L ON COURSE (APPROX 200 FT AGL). MY RESPONSE WAS 'I WILL TURN L WHEN ABLE...I HAVE TO CLR THE SMOKESTACKS OFF THE END OF THE RWY' (L SIDE). CTLR'S RESPONSE WAS (AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT); 'WHEN ABLE.' AS A RETIRED MIL OFFICER; THIS SEQUENCE I DESCRIBED CRIES OUT FOR WHERE IS THE INSPECTOR GENERAL TO SCRUTINIZE THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND POTENTIAL MISDIRECTION OF ME THAT COULD COMPROMISE SAFETY. MY ONLY POTENTIAL LAPSE WAS NOT INSISTING ON POSITIVE CALL SIGN IDENT. BUT ISN'T THAT ALSO THE CTLR'S RESPONSIBILITY? ALSO; I HAD TO LATER CORRECT THE GND CTLR'S MISTAKE OF MIS-STATING MY ACFT NUMBER!
