Narrative

DURING THE TKOF ROLL; AT ABOUT 20 KTS; A BLEED 2 VALVE FAILURE EICAS MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE EICAS. WE ABORTED THE TKOF AND WHILE CLEARING THE RWY; THE MESSAGE DISAPPEARED ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ANY CREW ACTION. AFTER COMING TO A STOP; WE RAN THE QRH AND AFTER LNDG CHKLISTS. I THEN CALLED DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL AND; AFTER DISCUSSING THE SIT WITH THEM; DISPATCH AND I AGREED; WITH THE CONCURRENCE OF MAINT CTL; THAT ANOTHER TKOF ATTEMPT WAS REASONABLE. WE THEN RAN THE AFTER START; TAXI; AND LINEUP CHKLISTS AGAIN. WE INITIATED A SECOND TKOF ATTEMPT AND THE SAME MESSAGE REAPPEARED AT THE SAME TIME AS IT HAD ON THE PREVIOUS ATTEMPT. WE AGAIN ABORTED AND AFTER CLRING THE RWY; RETURNED TO THE GATE. THE MESSAGE ALSO DISAPPEARED AGAIN WITHOUT ANY CREW ACTION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THIS AIRPLANE HAD A HISTORY AND SEVERAL COMPONENTS WERE REPLACED. A LOGIC CARD WAS REPLACED AND A HIGH STAGE ENG BLEED VALVE WAS REPLACED PREVIOUSLY. RPTR HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE ACTUAL FIX WAS.
