AN IFR SR-22 PLT DID NOT LEVEL AT 1300 FT ON THE TEB DALTON DEP.
Narrative
RECEIVED THE RWY 19 'DALTON' DEP VERBALLY FROM CLRNC DELIVERY. IN A RUSH TO ACCOMMODATE ATC AND DEP BETWEEN ARRIVING ACFT; ALT PRE-SELECT WAS SET TO 2000 FT (OUT OF HABIT). AS THE R TURN TO 280 DEGS WAS EXECUTED; I CONTACTED DEP 'HDG 280 DEGS; OUT OF 'X' FT FOR 2000 FT.' DEP'S RESPONSE WAS NOT IMMEDIATE; BUT AS I WAS CLBING THROUGH 1600 FT; I WAS REMINDED BY THE CTLR THAT I WAS TO BE AT 1300 FT. HIS COMMENT WAS; 'READ YOUR PLATE.' THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WARNING ON TCAS; BUT NONE THE LESS; THE CLRNC WAS VFR TO 1300 FT ON HDG 280 DEGS. THE LESSON ON MY PART IS NOT TO LET ATC RUSH YOU OUT WHEN YOU'RE NOT READY; ALTHOUGH BEING A RELATIVELY HIGH TIME PLT; BEING A 'FIRST TIMER' TO TEB AND NOT KNOWING ALL THE PROCS LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND; I SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAN TO BE RUSHED. BUT THE REMAINING QUESTION ON HAND IS; WHY IS THERE NO DALTON DEP IN MY TERMINAL PROCS BOOK; OR TO A LESSER EXTENT; NOT EVEN IN THE GARMIN DATABASE? THE ONLY DEP PROC IN THE CURRENT BOOK IS THE TEB 5 DEP AND WAS; THEREFORE; NOT ABLE TO 'READ MY PLATE.'
