C750 PENETRATES RESTRICTED AIRSPACE WHEN PROGRAMMING OF NEW RWY AT TUS RESULTS IN FMC DELETING DINGO ARR AND SUBSTITUTING DIRECT TUS.
Narrative
WE HAD DEPARTED SAN ENRTE TO TUS. WE WERE FILED FOR AND CLRED FOR THE DINGO 5 ARR WHICH I LOADED INTO THE FMS AND REVIEWED WITH THE PF. WE RECEIVED WX ON THE AFIS SYSTEM WHICH SHOWED WINDS TO BE VERY STRONG OUT OF THE SW. I CHANGED THE LNDG RWY TO RWY 21. IN THE PROCESS; THE FMS DROPPED THE DINGO 5 ARR. THEN CALLED THE DEST FBO TO CONFIRM OUR PAX TRANSPORTATION. WHEN I GOT OFF THE PHONE; I NOTICED THAT WE HAD RECEIVED A VECTOR OF 360 DEGS. I ASKED THE PF WHAT WE WERE ON VECTORS FOR. HE SAID WE WERE GIVEN THE VECTOR TO EXIT RESTRICTED AIRSPACE. WHEN I HAD CHANGED THE RWY TO RWY 21; THE FMS HAD DROPPED THE ARR AND INSTEAD HAD CHANGED TO A DIRECT COURSE TO THE TUS ARPT. WE HAD PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED THE ARR LOADED IN THE FMS AND HAD NOT REALIZED THAT IT HAD BEEN DROPPED BECAUSE THE DINGO 5 ARR DOES NOT SERVE RWY 21. THERE IS NO MESSAGE GENERATED ON THE HONEYWELL SYSTEM TO ALERT US TO THIS. IN THE FUTURE; EACH TIME A RWY CHANGE IS ENTERED INTO THE FMS; A REVIEW OF THE ASSIGNED ARR SHOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED. A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS THE FACT THAT ONE PLT WAS OCCUPIED WITH EXTRANEOUS ACTIVITIES.
