Narrative
WE DSNDED BELOW 10000 FT (MOSTLY ON VECTORS AT THIS POINT) TO ZZZ. WE LANDED UNEVENTFULLY; BUT WITHIN SECONDS OF TOUCHDOWN EXPERIENCED WHAT WE LATER LEARNED TO BE FAILURE OF THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR TORSION LINK. THIS SENT THE ACFT INTO SEVERE OSCILLATIONS ON THE RWY; WHICH THE FO DID A FANTASTIC JOB OF CTLING UNTIL WE SLOWED ENOUGH FOR IT TO BE SAFE TO XFER CTL; AT WHICH POINT I TOOK CTL OF THE JET; CLRED THE RWY AND SHUT DOWN. CIRCUIT BREAKERS WERE PULLED FOR THE FLT DATA RECORDERS AND COCKPIT VOICE RECORDER PER MAINT REQUEST. I'M SURE WE TALKED BELOW 10000 FT BRIEFLY ABOUT THINGS THAT THE FAA WOULD SAY WERE NOT SPECIFICALLY INVOLVED IN THE CONDUCT OF THE FLT. THERE WERE NO LONG CONVERSATIONS; AND THERE WAS NOTHING SAID OR DONE THAT WOULD HAVE CHANGED WHAT TOOK PLACE WHEN WE LANDED. HOWEVER; WITH THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS BEING PULLED; I ASSUME THE FAA MAY BE GIVEN ACCESS TO ALL RECORDED INFO AND THAT IS WHY I AM FILING THIS RPT. COMMENTS 'BELOW TEN' ADMITTEDLY SHOULD NOT TAKE PLACE; AND ALTHOUGH IT PROBABLY HAPPENS ON THE MAJORITY OF FLTS; THIS INSTANCE BRINGS OUT THE NEED FOR SUCH EVENTS TO NOT TAKE PLACE.
