Narrative
UPON LNDG ON RWY 22L; I WAS TOLD BY TWR TO TURN R TO TXWY P AND TAXI NE ON TXWY P. I TURNED R ONTO THE FIRST HIGH SPD TXWY OFF OF RWY 22L; AND WAS TOTALLY BLINDED BY THE EVENING SUN. I COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING AND WAS STILL TRYING TO GET STOPPED! AS I STARTED TO TURN R ON WHAT I THOUGHT WAS TXWY P; THE SUN WAS NOT AS BLINDING AND THAT WAS WHEN I SAW THAT I WAS ABOUT 1/4 - 1/3 WAY ONTO RWY 22R. THIS RWY WAS BEING USED FOR TKOFS. I QUICKLY LOOKED UP THE RWY. AS AN AIRLINER HAD JUST BEEN GIVEN A TKOF CLRNC; I HAD TO DO SOMETHING. THE TWR FREQ WAS LOADED UP BUT I TRIED BUT THEY DID NOT HEAR ME SO I ADDED PWR AND QUICKLY CROSSED RWY 22R; AS THIS WOULD NOT ENDANGER ANYONE. NO EVASIVE ACTIONS WERE REQUIRED BY THE AIRLINER; AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE A NORMAL TKOF. THE TWR WAS NOT EVEN AWARE OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED UNTIL THE AIRLINER CREW MADE A COMMENT ON THE TWR FREQ THAT SOMEONE HAD CROSSED IN FRONT OF THEM. I BELIEVE A NOTE ON THE ARPT DIAGRAM ABOUT POSSIBLE SUN BLINDNESS WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME A HEADS UP ON THIS PROB OF BEING BLINDED WHEN TURNING ONTO THE HIGH SPD TXWY.
