Narrative
WORKED W RADAR SECTOR THEN TOLD TO COMBINE W RADAR TO N RADAR AND WORK BOTH SECTORS. TOTAL TIME ON POS: 1 HR 9 MIS ONCE COMBING SECTORS WORKING 5-6 ACFT WITH APPROX 20 PENDING ARRS/OVERFLTS. SECTOR STARTED TO GET BUSY WITH NUMEROUS DEPS; ARRS; AND OVERFLTS. I ASKED THE RADAR DATA/RADAR CIC FOR A HDOF WHICH I DID NOT RECEIVE. NO OPERATIONAL SUPVR IN TRACON. S RADAR CTLR BUSY AS WELL. ACFT X DEP CAME OFF RWY 18 ON HDG OF 270 DEGS. I RADAR IDENTED HIM AND CLBED TO 10;000. LEFT ON HDG FOR TFC NW OF POS. HAD 8 OTHER ACFT ON FREQ; 6 OF WHICH WERE IN NE QUADRANT OF AIRSPACE. GOT BUSY ANSWERING SHOUT LINES TO COORD WITH ADJACENT FACILITIES. WHEN I SAW ACFT X'S POS; TO GIVE HIM A VECTOR; HE WAS I THE NORTHERN EDGE OF RESTR AIRSPACE R3005 ACTIVE FROM SURFACE TO 10;000 WITH UAV ACTIVITY. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED HIM TO HDG 360 DEGS TO EXIT. EXITED THE RESTR AIRSPACE IN 2 MI. SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF SECTORS WERE NOT COMBINED. HELP WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN WHEN ASKED SO MY ATTN WAS FOCUSED ON THE PLANES AND RADAR SCOPE AND NOT ON TAKING HDOFS AND ON LANDLINES. ALSO; TWR DEP PROC TO TURN A DEP OFF RWY 18 HDG 270 DEGS; TOWARDS RESTR AIRSPACE; IS ADDING TO POTENTIAL PROBS. WITH BETTER AIRSPACE/DEP PROCS AND HIGHER STAFFING NUMBERS (MORE AVAILABLE CTLRS TO WORK) THIS SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
