A B747-400 ON TKOF ROLL LOST A 4 FT X 5 FT COMPOSITE PANEL IN THE AREA OF THE GND PNEUMATIC DOOR. ACFT INCURRED DAMAGE TO THE L INBOARD GEAR DOOR AND CANOE FAIRING.
Narrative
AT XA00Z DISPATCH SENT ACARS MESSAGE INFORMING US THAT A 4 X 5 FT PANEL HAD BEEN FOUND ON RWY AT ZZZ ABOUT 7000 FT DOWN THE RWY AND IT WAS BELIEVED TO BE FROM OUR ACFT. WE INFORMED DISPATCH THAT WE HAD NO ABNORMAL VIBRATIONS OR INDICATIONS. I SPOKE WITH PURSER; WHO QUERIED OTHER FLT ATTENDANTS AND THEY DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING UNUSUAL. APPROX 1 HR LATER; WE GOT AN EICAS MESSAGE OF A 'LOW FUEL TEMP' AND FUEL TEMP WAS INDICATING -37 DEGS C. TAT WAS INDICATING -34 DEGS C. I CONTACTED DISPATCH BY SATCOM AND DID A CONFERENCE WITH MAINT CTL AND DISPATCH. I FELT THAT LOW FUEL TEMP WAS AN ERRONEOUS INDICATION AND MAINT CTL AGREED. I ASKED DISPATCH TO CONFER WITH DISPATCH MGR AND FLEET CAPT; WHICH HE DID; AND DISPATCH; MAINT CTL; AND FLEET CAPT WERE ALL IN AGREEMENT THAT IT WAS SAFE TO CONTINUE FLT TO ZZZZ. NO ADDITIONAL ABNORMAL INDICATIONS WERE NOTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF FLT. AFTER DEPLANING; WE WERE SHOWN DAMAGE BY MAINT WHICH INCLUDED A MISSING PANEL FROM A PNEUMATIC ACCESS BAY; DAMAGE TO THE L INBOARD GEAR DOOR; AND DAMAGE TO A FLAP TRACK CANOE FAIRING. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THERE WAS NO INDICATION IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AIRPLANE ON TKOF AND CLB THAT ANYTHING HAD DEPARTED THE ACFT. WHEN ADVISED BY DISPATCH OF THE DISCOVERY OF THE PANEL THE CABIN CREW WAS QUESTIONED IF ANYTHING WAS NOTICED ON THE TKOF AND NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY WAS RPTED. ON THE GND MAINT SHOWED THE CREW WHERE THE MISSING PANEL WAS LOCATED AND THE DAMAGED L LNDG GEAR DOOR AND FLAP CANOE FAIRING.
