A B767 FLT CREW DEPARTING SDF SELECTED AN IMPROPER AIRSPD CARD AND ROTATED AT TOO LOW AN AIRSPD.
Narrative
TKOF WAS TO BE PERFORMED USING FLAPS 5 DEGS NEAR THE RWY LIMIT WT FOR RWY 17R SDF. ALL NORMAL PROCS WERE FOLLOWED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TKOF DATA FLIP CARD WAS SET TO 280000 LBS AND THE ACTUAL WT WAS 380000 LBS. IT WAS THE FO'S TKOF. AT ROTATION; HE NOTICED THE AIRPLANE TO BE UNDER-PERFORMING AND STOPPED THE ROTATION AT 7.5 DEGS ANU. THE AIRPLANE ACCELERATED AND LIFTED OFF AND WHEN A POSITIVE RATE OF CLB WAS CONFIRMED THE PF CLBED AND ACCELERATED ON SCHEDULE WITH NORMAL FLAP RETRACTION. AFTER SOME DISCUSSION WITH THE CREW; A CONCLUSION WAS MADE THAT WE HAD USED THE WRONG WT CARD FOR THE TKOF AND COULD HAVE POSSIBLY GOTTEN A TAIL STRIKE; THOUGH NOTHING WAS FELT AND NO OTHER SIGNS WERE PRESENT. AFTER NOTIFYING THE COMPANY AND TALKING TO MAINT; IT WAS DECIDED THAT WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO DEST SINCE NO SIGNS OF A STRIKE WERE PRESENT AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY WAS NOT IN DOUBT. THE FLT CONCLUDED AT DEST WHERE MAINT FOUND NO TAIL STRIKE HAD OCCURRED. IT IS PARAMOUNT THAT THE FLT CREWS USE ALL REDUNDANCIES AND TRIPLECHK EACH OTHER ON THESE PERFORMANCE ITEMS AS WELL AS ALL CRITERIA PERTAINING TO THE OP OF THE FLT. I ALSO RECOMMEND WHEN BRIEFING THE DEP THAT THE TKOF CARDS BE OUT AND USED DURING THE BRIEFING AS IT IS USUALLY PUT AWAY AT THE COMPLETION OF THE BEFORE START CHKLIST.
