Narrative
WE CLRED THE GATE AT CLE TO TAXI OUT TO RWY 24R FOR TKOF. THERE WAS A LINE OF ACFT TAKING OFF ON RWY 24R; WAITING ON TXWY S. OUR CLRNC WAS TAXI TO RWY 24R; HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24L; WHICH WE DID. NEXT CLRNC WAS CROSS RWY 24L; CHANGE TO (NEW TWR FREQ). WE CROSSED RWY 24L; AND I POSITIONED THE ACFT AT A SLIGHT SLANT FROM PERPENDICULAR TO THE RWYS SO I COULD LOOK OVER MY L SHOULDER TO VERIFY OUR TAIL WAS BEYOND THE FIRST LINE; WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 24L BEHIND US. AFTER WE CHANGED TWR FREQS; I SAW ANOTHER ACR GO AROUND BEHIND US ON RWY 24L. TWR TOLD US T MOVE FORWARD AS WE WERE BLOCKING RWY 24L. THERE WAS AN ACFT IN FRONT OF US HOLDING FOR RWY 24R. THERE WAS ROOM AND WE MOVED FORWARD ACROSS RWY 24C BEHIND HIM TO CLEAR OUR TAIL FROM BOTH HOLD SHORT LINES BETWEEN RWY 24L AND RWY 24C. OUR TAIL HAD BEEN CLR OF THE FIRST HOLD LINE (HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 24C); BUT NOT THE SECOND LINE (HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 24L GOING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION). I WAS AWARE OF AND HAD REVIEWED THE CLE SAFETY ALERT ON THIS SUBJECT BEFORE LNDG AT CLE THE PREVIOUS EVENING AND BEFORE PUSH AT CLE THAT DAY. THE SAFETY ALERT DEPICTS AND DISCUSSES NOSE POSITION FOR HOLDING SHORT OF A RWY IN FRONT OF YOU; NOT TAIL POSITION GOING THE OTHER WAY. MY THINKING ON THIS UNIQUE ARRANGEMENT WAS GEARED TO NOSE; NOT TAIL POSITION. ADDING A DEPICTION AND/OR DISCUSSION OF TAIL POSITION SCENARIOS MIGHT BE HELPFUL.
