A B767-300 FLT CREW RECEIVED AN ENG PRV WARNING ON TKOF ROLL. CAPT RETARDED THE THROTTLES TO ABORT; BUT DID NOT DISCONNECT THE AUTOTHROTTLE; AND WHEN THE PRV LIGHT WENT OUT AND THE AUTOTHROTTLE RETURNED THE THRUST LEVERS TO TKOF PWR; THEY CONTINUED THE TKOF.

A B767-300 FLT CREW RECEIVED AN ENG PRV WARNING ON TKOF ROLL. CAPT RETARDED THE THROTTLES TO ABORT; BUT DID NOT DISCONNECT THE AUTOTHROTTLE; AND WHEN THE PRV LIGHT WENT OUT AND THE AUTOTHROTTLE RETURNED THE THRUST LEVERS TO TKOF PWR; THEY CONTINUED THE TKOF.
Narrative
ON TKOF ROLL; AFTER PWR SET AND AT APPROX 60-70 KTS; PRV MESSAGE ILLUMINATED. THROTTLES WERE RETARDED. PRV MESSAGE NO LONGER ANNUNCIATED. AS I REACHED FORWARD TO DEPLOY REVERSERS; THROTTLES ADVANCED AUTOMATICALLY. I SHOULD HAVE MADE SURE AUTOTHROTTLES WERE DISCONNECTED. THE PRV MESSAGE WAS ANNUNCIATED FOR APPROX 1 SECOND; AND THE THROTTLES WERE RETARDED AND ADVANCED IN APPROX 1 SECOND. NOW ABOVE 80 KTS; OUR PROCS SPECIFICALLY STATE CONDITIONS FOR ABORTING; NONE OF WHICH EXISTED. TKOF AND FLT TO CDG WERE CONTINUED UNEVENTFULLY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 704291: DURING TKOF FROM RWY 35L THE CAPT ADVANCED THE THROTTLES AND CALLED FOR ARM AUTOTHROTTLES; ENGAGE N1. SHORTLY AFTER MAX TKOF PWR WAS REACHED; AT APPROX 60-70 KTS; WE RECEIVED A MASTER CAUTION; BEEPER; AND 'ENG PRV EICAS' MESSAGES. THE CAPT CLOSED THE THROTTLES TO DISCONTINUE THE TKOF. AS HE MOVED TO DEPLOY THE THRUST REVERSERS THE MESSAGE WENT AWAY AND THE AUTOTHROTTLES; WHICH WERE STILL ENGAGED AND THEY HAD NOT GONE INTO THROTTLE HOLD YET; ADVANCED THE THROTTLES BACK TO MAX TKOF PWR. THE THROTTLES WERE BACK ONLY BRIEFLY. AT THIS POINT WE WERE OVER 80 KTS; WITH NO ABNORMAL SITUATION INDICATED; AND THE TKOF WAS CONTINUED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 704293: ON TKOF ROLL WITH PWR SET; SPD 60-70 KTS; THE ENG PRV EICAS MESSAGE APPEARED. THE CAPT; WHO WAS FLYING; RETARDED THE THROTTLES AND THE MESSAGE IMMEDIATELY WENT AWAY. AS THE CAPT MOVED HIS HAND TO USE THE THRUST REVERSERS; THE AUTOTHROTTLES ADVANCED THE PWR TO TKOF PWR. BY THE TIME I REALIZED HE WAS CONTINUING THE TKOF; WE WERE OVER 100 KTS. I DID NOT CALL FOR AN ABORT. I FELT ANY ACTION AS FB AT THAT POINT WOULD CONFUSE THE SITUATION; SO I DIDN'T. ALL SYS WERE NORMAL. THE ELAPSED TIME OF THE PWR REDUCTION WAS ABOUT 1 SECOND. WE MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG AT CDG.
