Narrative
ACFT CONFIGN -- CLEAN; 280 IAS; 2000 FPM DSCNT RATE; AUTOPLT ENGAGED. FLT CONDITIONS: SMOOTH AIR VMC; DURING DSCNT FROM A CRUISE ALT OF FL372 FL220. FLT TO ZZZ BTWN FL240 AND FL220 AN INTERMEDIATE VIBRATION WAS FELT BY BOTH THE CREW AND PAX. WE LEVELED OFF AT 22000 FT THE CAPT INCREASE THE SPD TO 300 KTS. THERE WAS NO CHANGE IN NOISE OR VIBRATION. THE VIBRATION WAS INTERMITTENT; WE THEN TRIED REDUCING SPD TO 230 KTS NO CHANGE IN VIBRATION. PAX CONFIRMED THE VIBRATION. I GOT OUT OF MY SEAT AND WENT TO THE CABIN TO LOOK AT THE FLT CTLS AND ENG; I USED THIS TIME TO BRIEF OUR PAX THAT WE WERE TROUBLESHOOTING THE VIBRATION PROB AND INTENDED TO LAND AT ZZZ ARPT OR NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT AS SOON AS WE CAN IDENT THE PROB. CAPT TURNED OFF THE ENG SYNCHRONIZER AND SPLIT THE THROTTLES. I CONFIRM THE R ENG COWLING WAS VIBRATING. I RETURNED TO MY SEAT AND THE FLT CREW COMPLETED THE ABNORMAL INDICATION OR BEHAVIOR CHKLIST; THESE PROCS LED US TO THIS SECTION HIGH ENG VIBRATION THE FLT CREW FOLLOWED THE STEPS AND THEN CAME TO THE RECOMMENDATION OUTLINED IN THE CHKLIST CARRY OUT ENG FAILURE PROCS. AT XA48Z WE DECLARED AN EMER. WE WERE ABOUT 11 MI S OF ZZZ1 VOR; LESS THAN 50 MI FROM ZZZ WHEN WE COMPLETED THE SHUTDOWN PROC CHKLIST WHEN ZZZ2 CTR SWITCHED US TO DATE AN APCH. WE COMPLETED THE ENG SHUTDOWN ACCORDING TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROCS PRESCRIBED IN THE HAWKER ABNORMAL INDICATION OR BEHAVIOR CHKLIST. UPON COMPLETION OF THE SHUTDOWN THE VIBRATION WAS ELIMINATED. THE FLT CREW BELIEVES ZZZ WAS THE MOST SUITABLE ARPT. ACFT WAS OVERWT AND IT WOULD HAVE REQUIRED TOO HIGH WORKLOAD TO DIVERT TO ZZZ3. IT WAS SAFER TO TAKE OUR TIME AND COMPLETE ALL THE APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS. ATC WAS INFORMED 3 SOULS ONBOARD; 4000 LBS OF FUEL; ESTIMATED TIME OF ARR 12 MIN. CREW HAD ATIS FOR ZZZ RECORDED AND THE APCH PLATES PULLED. THE ILS APCH WAS ALREADY BRIEFED. ZZZ WAS VFR. ATC AUTH DIRECT ZZZ AT XC06Z WE COMPLETED AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG AT ZZZ. CFR WAS STANDING BY. ACFT TAXI UNDER ITS OWN PWR.
