Narrative
ON SEP/XA/06 AT AROUND XA30; I WAS ASSIGNED TO CONDUCT ENG INLET AND BLADE INSPECTION ON ACFT X AT GATE X; AS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY DONE MANY TIMES IN THE PAST. I NOTICE THERE WAS SPINNER CONE WHITE STRIPE MISSING. AT THE SAME TIME THAT MOMENT; I WAS CALLED ON RADIO TO CONDUCT ANOTHER PLANE INSPECTION LOCATED AT FREIGHT CARGO THAT HAVE AVIONICS RII REQUIREMENT WITH PRIORITY DEP. BEFORE I LEAVE THE AREA; I TRIED TO LOCATE THE TECHNICIAN THAT WAS ASSIGNED ON ACFT X BUT WAS UNABLE TO. I PROCEEDED TO MY NEW ASSIGNMENT; AMONG ONE OF A HALF DOZEN ACFT I WAS ASSIGNED ON. I WAS THE ONLY INSPECTOR WORKING AT FLT LINE THAT NIGHT COVERING 3 GATES. AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSED; I WAS MORE OCCUPIED WITH MORE ADDED UNSCHEDULED WORK CALLS REQUIRING RII ATTN. THIS CONTINUED TILL XF30; AND WITH LATE IN PAPERWORK CLOSURE; AT SOME POINT I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE SPINNER WHERE I WAS GOING TO INFORM THE TECHNICIAN; WENT BACK TO HANGAR OFFICE; AND LATER HOME AROUND XG00 AM EXHAUSTED AND NEVER THOUGHT OF THE SPINNER MISSING STRIPE UNTIL I WAS INFORMED. IT WAS NEVER MY INTENTION TO NEGLECT SUCH EVENT AS I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED A VIGILANT WAY OF DOING MY JOB IN MANY YRS; QUALITY AND SAFETY WAS ALWAYS MY PRIORITY. SOMEHOW THIS ONE SLIPPED ON ME.
