BEECH V35 FLT CREW HAS A GEAR UP LNDG IN FIELD ADJACENT TO ARPT.

Narrative

PRETKOF CHK PERFORMED BY PLT. INTERCOM INOP. AFTER TKOF; CLB TO 1000 FT GEAR UP AND TURN R TO HDG OF 270 DEGS CLBING TO 6000 FT AND LEVELOFF. PLT PERFORMED 360 DEG TURNS TO THE L AND TO THE R; THEN APCH TO STALL. AT THIS TIME I NOTICED FLAPS PARTIALLY DOWN. PLT'S ATTEMPT TO RETRACT THEM FAILED. I NOTICED TOTAL LOSS OF ELECTRICAL PWR. PLT POINTED TO ALTERNATOR SWITCH; WHICH WAS IN OFF POS AND TURNED THE SWITCH ON. HE ALSO ADJUSTED MIXTURE CTL. I ASKED HIM TO PERFORM EMER GEAR DOWN. HE HANDED THE YOKE TO ME; PULLED MANUAL AND STARTED TO READ IT. WHILE HE WAS PERFORMING GEAR DOWN; I STEERED THE AIRPLANE TOWARD THE ARPT. AT THIS TIME; I NOTICED PARTIAL PWR OFF. WE STARTED TO LOSE ALT. MIXTURE; PROP AND THROTTLE FORWARD DID NOT RESOLVE PARTIAL PWR OFF. WE WERE SINKING AT 700-800 FPM. I MANEUVERED ON FINAL APCH FOR RWY 22. AT THIS TIME; THE PLT KEPT HIS HANDS BUSY; ADJUSTING VARIOUS CTLS. AT ALT 1500 FT MSL; I ASKED THE PLT TO TAKE OVER; WHICH HE DID. AT THIS TIME WE NOTICED ANOTHER ACFT DOING 'TOUCH AND GO' ON RWY 4; THEN CLBING STRAIGHT AT US. PLT TURNED L; THE OTHER ACFT (TURBINE PILATUS); ALSO TURNED L AND WE PASS EACH OTHER AT SAFE DISTANCE. I ASKED THE PLT TO GO FOR RWY; BUT HE SAID; 'WE ARE TOO HIGH' AND CONTINUE FLYING L; THEN TURNED R AT 45 DEG ANGLE TOWARD THE RWY. HE STARTED TO PULL NOSE UP AND AIRSPD DROPPED. I YELLED 'NOSE DOWN!' AND HE LOWERED THE NOSE. WE CLRED TREE LINE AND LANDED IN THE CORNFIELD NEXT TO THE ARPT; LNDG GEAR UP.
