CHANGE IN DEP RWY FROM RWY 9L TO RWY 8R RESULTS IN TRACK DEV ON COKEM RNAV SID FROM ATL. FLT CREW FAILS TO REPROGRAM ENTIRE PROC INCLUDING CARPT TRANSITION AS REQUIRED.

Narrative

DURING THE PREFLT AND RECEIVING CHK; WE WERE EXPECTING A DEP FROM RWY 9L. WE SET UP THE FMS FOR THE DEP USING THE COKEM3; AND RWY 9L. BOTH THE CAPT AND I VERIFIED THAT ALL THE FIXES LOOK CORRECT FOR OUR CLRNC. AT TAXI; WE WERE TOLD TO TAXI TO RWY 8R. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY BUSY; SHORT TAXI. I SWITCHED THE DEP RWY FOR THE RNAV DEP; AND THAT THE INITIAL FIX (WHICH CHANGED) WAS NOW CORRECT. AT THIS SWITCH; THE TRANSITION FIX MUST HAVE DROPPED OUT OF THE FMS. FLYING THE COKEM3 DEP OUT OF ATLANTA; AFTER THE COKEM FIX; THE NEXT FIX IN OUR CLRNC WAS INCORRECT. THE NEXT FIX SHOULD HAVE BEEN CARPT; THE TRANSITION; BUT THE FMS SHOWED BNA. UPON SWITCHING FREQS; THE CTLR ASSIGNED US A HDG; AND ASKED US IF WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED HDG. HE THEN ASKED US IF WE WERE PROCEEDING DIRECT CARPT; AT WHICH POINT WE NOTICED THAT THE POINT WAS NO LONGER IN THE FMS. WE WERE TOLD TO PROCEED DIRECT CARPT; THEN BNA AS FILED AND COMPLIED. ONCE NOTIFIED OF THE MISTAKE; WE COMPLIED WITH HDG GIVEN; AND TO PROCEED DIRECT TO THE FIX. IN THE FUTURE; EVEN WITH LAST MIN RWY AND DEP CHANGES; I WILL VERIFY THE FULL RTE MATCHES WITH THE CLRNC AS GIVEN. IN ADDITION; MORE CLOSELY MONITORING THE FMS AND COMPARING IT WITH THE DEP PROC IN FLT WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE MISTAKE.
