A300 FLT CREW HAS LOSS OF GREEN HYD SYS; DECLARES EMER AND RETURNS FOR LNDG.
Narrative
THE FO'S TKOF WAS ROUTINE UNTIL THE GEAR UP CALL. LNDG GEAR RETRACTION PRESENTED EXCESSIVE AND UNUSUAL NOISE DURING THE NOSE GEAR RETRACT CYCLE; BUT ALL GEAR INDICATED UP AND LOCKED WITHIN THE EXPECTED TIME FRAME. WHILE PASSING 1300 FT WBOUND; THE ECAM ALERTED US TO THE COMPLETE LOSS OF QUANTITY IN THE GREEN HYD SYS. THE ECAM HYDS PAGE DISPLAYED 3200 PSI OUTPUT IN THE GREEN; AND NOMINAL VALUES IN BOTH THE BLUE AND YELLOW SYS. I ADVISED ATC THAT WE HAD AN ACFT SYS PROB TO SORT OUT; WOULD REMAIN AT 180 KTS MAX; AND NEEDED VECTORS FOR A RETURN TO ZZZ. NORMAL REQUESTS FOR PEOPLE ON BOARD AND FUEL WERE ANSWERED; AND THEN THE RADIOS WERE GIVEN TO THE FO. I REFED THE QRH FOR THE ABNORMAL PROC 'HYD RSVR LO LEVEL' AND COMPLETED THE PROC; SECURING BOTH ENG-DRIVEN GREEN PUMPS; DOWN TO THE L/G GRAVITY EXT PROCEDURAL STEP. WITH THE ACFT SYS SECURED; WE BRIEFED FOR THE ILS RWY APCH; DECLARED AN EMER; AND BEGAN THE APCH IN VISUAL CONDITIONS. THE APCH AND LNDG WERE NOMINAL; WITH THE TWR BEING TOLD TO HAVE THE EMER VEHICLES MEET THE ACFT AT THE INTXN OF RWY AND TXWY. I MANEUVERED THE ACFT OFF THE RWY USING DIFFERENTIAL BRAKING; AND STOPPED AT THE INTXN OF TXWYS. THE ACFT WAS PWRED DOWN TO APU; SAFETIED; AND THE VISUAL INSPECTION BY THE EMER CREWS PRESENTED NO LEAKS NOR OTHER ABNORMALITIES. WE COORDINATED THE TOW-IN; WHERE MAINT FOUND A LEAKING L AILERON LINE.
