A B757 WAS DISPATCHED AFTER THE L AIR DATA COMPUTER WAS REPLACED AND CHKED PER THE MAINT MANUAL. DID NOT HAVE REQUIRED INSPECTION.
Narrative
THE ACFT WRITE-UP CONCERNED AN AMBER SLOW SPD BAR AND SPD LIMIT WARNING ON THE CAPT'S EADI ALONG WITH SPD SHAKER ACTIVATION. I REPLACED THE L AIR DATA COMPUTER. I EITHER FAILED TO SEE A NOTE AT THE TOP OF PAGE OF THE AMM FOR THE ADC CONCERNING RVSM OR IT DIDN'T REGISTER WITH ME THAT THE ADC WAS RVSM. (I THINK THIS IS SO BECAUSE I WAS WORKING ON A 'SPD' WRITE-UP.) THEREFORE; I FAILED TO HAVE MY WORK RII. I DID HOWEVER COMPLETE ALL OTHER WORK PER THE AMM (ACFT MAINT MANUAL). (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE 'NOTE' ON PAGE OF THE AMM MENTIONS A 'CONFIRMATION' NOT RII. THIS IS CONFUSING.) I HAVE REVIEWED THE GPM CONCERNING RVSM/RII ITEMS. I ALSO NOTIFIED TECHNICAL SVCS OF THE NEED FOR AN RII ON THE ACFT. HE INFORMED ME THAT IT HAD BEEN ACCOMPLISHED EARLIER IN THE DAY. I THINK THAT I MIGHT NOT HAVE MISSED THE NOTE IN THE AMM IF IT HAD BEEN PLACED AFTER (I) IN THE 'PROCS' SECTION RATHER THAN AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE AND SUBSTANTIALLY SEPARATED FROM THE BEGINNING TEXT OF THE PROC. OR RATHER THAN HAVING A NOTE THE AMM MIGHT JUST STATE THAT REPLACING 1 ADC REQUIRED AN RII.
