ACR CREW DEPARTING PDX ON THE RIVER SID HAD A TRACK DEV WHEN THEY TUNED THE WRONG VOR FOR NAVIGATION.

Narrative

JUST PRIOR TO TAKEOFF FOG BEGAN TO ROLL INTO PDX ARPT AND WAS JUST ABOUT TO ACARS DISPATCH WHEN PDX TOWER SAID RVR MORE THAN 6000 FT CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF. ON CLIMB OUT CONTACTED PDX DEP WITH NO RESPONSE. AT 4500 FT PDX DEP SAID COMPANY # ARE YOU UP? WE SAID YES AND THEY SAID RADAR CONTACT TURN LEFT 030 DEG TO JOIN J16. I THE PILOT MONITORING PUT THE INTERCEPT IN THE FMC AND TOLD MY F/O THAT IT WAS IN THE BOX. HE QUESTIONED IT AND TURNED TO JOIN J16 OFF OF RAW DATA BUT STILL HAD PDX VOR IN AND NOT BTG. I IMMEDIATELY QUESTIONED THIS AND SAID WE WERE SOUTH OF J16. WE TURNED TO 030 DEGS AND WE WERE TOLD BY PDX DEP TO TURN TO 360 DEGS TO JOIN J16 OFF OF BTG NOT PDX. WE JOINED J16 AND THE REST OF THE FLIGHT WAS NORMAL. J16 NEEDS TO BE DEPICTED ON THE RIVER SIX DEP; OR A FIX NEED TO BE ADDED THAT PDX DEP CAN CLEAR ACFT TO WHERE A 030 DEG HDG JOINS THE BTG 069 DEGS. AND A NOTE NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE 10-7 PAGE. WE WERE TOLD BY PDX DEP THAT WE WERE THE FOURTH ACFT THIS WEEKEND TO DO WHAT WE DID.
