Narrative
IN CRUISING CLBOUT OF 31500 FT; BOTTOM RED AIRSPD FOOT CAME UP TO CURRENT SPD. THEN STICK SHAKER CAME ON BOTH YOKES WITH NO OTHER INDICATIONS. TURNED AUTOPLT OFF. EXTENDED SLATS. NORMAL FLT HANDLING. NO FLT CTL PROBS OF ANY SORT BEFORE AND AFTER FALSE INDICATION OF BOTTOM RED AIRSPD FOOT AND STICK SHAKER. NO OTHER ALERTS OR INDICATIONS ON EAD. NORMAL LEVEL FLT HANDLING AT FL320; ALTHOUGH STICK SHAKER STAYED ON CONSTANTLY. BOTTOM RED AIRSPD STARTED TO VARY FROM CURRENT CRUISE SPD TO +/-20 -30 KIAS TO A NORMAL INDICATION. RETURNED TO MKE. STICK SHAKER CEASED ON DSCNT OUT OF FL280. BOTTOM RED FOOT CEASED ERRATIC INDICATIONS ALSO. ALL ANTI-ICE WAS USED NORMALLY IN CLB AND DSCNT. LANDED IN MKE UNEVENTFUL AND NORMAL LNDG. NO OTHER WARNINGS OR INDICATIONS WERE EVER NOTED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 733374: NORMAL HANDLING QUALITY AND NO PITCH-PWR-SPD ABNORMALITIES. STICK SHAKER CONTINUOUS PLUS RED PLI; EVEN WHEN BOTTOM RED FOOT WOULD RETREAT; FLUCTUATING WITHIN APPROX 30 KTS. CONSULTED QRH; MAINT CTL; AND DISPATCH BEFORE RETURNING TO MKE.
