Narrative
DEPARTING FROM MCO AND UNDER CTL FROM ORL DEP. WE WERE STABLE AT THE CLRNC ALT 8000 FT AND HDG 270 DEGS. FO WAS FLYING. ATC CALLS TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK POS AND 9000 FT. WE QUICKLY LOCATED TFC AND REPLY TO ATC THAT WE HAVE THE TFC IN SIGHT. IMMEDIATELY I NOTICE THE VERT SEPARATION APPEARS LESS THAN 1000 FT. AS SOON AS I NOTICE THIS; I SEE THE CONFLICT ACFT START AN AGGRESSIVE PITCH-UP AND CLB. WE INSTANTLY GET AN RA TO DSND; WHICH THE FO FOLLOWED. AT ABOUT 7650 FT; WE RECEIVED A CLR OF CONFLICT MESSAGE. AS SOON AS WE STARTED THE DSCNT; I CALLED ATC TO INFORM THEM OF THE RA AND OUR DSCNT TO COMPLY WITH IT. AFTER THE CLR OF CONFLICT MESSAGE; WE CLBED BACK TO 8000 FT. I ASKED ATC IF THEY HAD A PROB WITH ANYTHING WE DID DURING THE CONFLICT AND THE REPLY WAS NO; EVERYTHING YOU DID WAS FINE AND THAT THEY LOST SEPARATION BTWN US. ONCE WE LANDED; I WAS TOLD TO CALL MCO ATC. I CALLED THEM AND THEY REALLY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THE INCIDENT EXCEPT TO ASK IF WE WERE GOING TO FILE A RPT. I AGAIN ASKED THEM IF THEY HAD A PROB WITH ANY OF OUR ACTIONS; AND AGAIN THE ANSWER WAS NO; EVERYTHING YOU DID WAS FINE. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE OTHER ACFT'S CLRNC WAS. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 736756: AT THAT MOMENT I LOOKED AT THE TCAS AND RECALL SEEING ABOUT A +500 FT SEPARATION FROM THE OTHER ACFT.
