A B767-300 DEPARTING SAN EXPERIENCED A MAP SHIFT THAT RESULTED IN A TRACK DEV.
Narrative
WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF WITH THE BORDER DEP. IT WAS LOADED INTO THE FMS AND BRIEFED THAT WE WOULD USE LNAV ON DEP SINCE THE TURN POINT AT 16 DME FROM POGGI VOR WAS SHOWN ON THE MAP. THE MAP LOOKED SLIGHTLY OFF FOR OUR POS BUT NOT OUT OF THE RWY LIMITS FOR SAN. IT LOOKED LIKE IT WOULD EASILY CORRECT ITSELF ON APPLICATION OF TKOF PWR; WITH THE AUTOMATIC RWY UPDATE. WE APPLIED TKOF PWR. IMMEDIATELY AFTER LIFTOFF WE GOT TERRAIN AURAL WARNINGS. THIS DID NOT COMPUTE WITH THE VISUAL PICTURE THAT WAS SEEN OUT OUR WINDOWS. WE WERE OVER WATER AND CLBING AT OVER 1000 FPM. AT 400 FT ENGAGED LNAV AS BRIEFED AND CONTINUED ON A 275 HDG SHORTLY AFTER 1000 FT MSL AND LNAV PATH SHOWED A TURN. I FOLLOWED THE LNAV TURN INSTRUCTIONS; THEN SOCAL CALLED ASKING; 'WHY ARE WE TURNING?' I THEN STOPPED THE TURN AND TURNED BACK TOWARDS 275 DEG HDG. WE LOOKED AT THE MAP AND IT SHOWED A TURN; BUT THEN DIALED POGGI VOR FOR A BACK-UP AND FOUND OUT THAT THE FMS WAS ABOUT 10 NM OFF. SOCAL TOLD US TO CONTINUE THE TURN TOWARD THE 260 DEG RADIAL INTO POGGI. WE THEN REVERTED TO BASIC VOR NAV. DURING THE CLB WE FOUND OUT THE FMS WAS NOT UPDATING ITSELF. WE RESOLVED THAT PROB AFTER WE LEFT SOCAL DEP AREA; AND THE FMS STARTED WORKING NORMALLY.
