HSV CTLR DESCRIBED FATIGUE EVENT DURING BUSY WORKWEEK; CITING SUPVR ACTIONS AS CONTRIBUTORY.
Narrative
DURING THIS WORK WK; I HAD ALREADY WORKED 2 10-HR DAYS; AND THE DAY PRIOR I HAD AN EXTREMELY STRESSFUL TIME TRAINING A DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR WHO ATTEMPTED TO HAVE 4 OPERRORS WITHIN A 2 MIN SPAN OF TIME. THE NIGHT PRIOR TO MY SHIFT; I WAS AWAKE MOST OF THE NIGHT WITH A STOMACH PROB; SO I DIDN'T GET MUCH SLEEP THAT NIGHT; AND DIDN'T EAT BREAKFAST THAT MORNING. SINCE IT IS A VIOLATION OF PERSONNEL POLICIES TO CALL IN SICK DUE TO FATIGUE; I RPTED IN FOR MY SHIFT AND OPENED UP THE CTL TWR WITH THE APCH CTL COMBINED TO THE TWR. DUE TO MY FATIGUE; I REQUESTED TO ONLY WORK TWR/GND/CLRNC DELIVERY POS WHICH WAS APPROVED BY THE OPENING WCIC. TO ADD TO MY PROB; THE DAY SHIFT SUPVR DENIED ME A LUNCH BREAK AND INSTRUCTED ME TO OPEN UP THE E RADAR POS IN THE TRACON. I TOLD THE SUPVR THAT I WASN'T FEELING 100%; HADN'T ATE ANYTHING; AND PREFERRED TO BE ASSIGNED TO THE TWR. THE SUPVR IGNORED MY REQUEST AND ORDERED ME TO WORK E RADAR. WITHIN THE FIRST 10 MINS OF OPENING THE E RADAR POS; I ALMOST HAD AN OPERROR BECAUSE I COULDN'T CONCENTRATE; AND I WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY REMEMBERING AIRWAY INTXNS TO GIVE PROPER POINTOUTS. I AGAIN TOLD THE SUPVR THAT I WASN'T FEELING GOOD AND REQUESTED TO BE ASSIGNED TO THE TWR. AGAIN THE SUPVR IGNORED MY REQUEST. AFTER FINALLY BEING RELIEVED FOR A BREAK I MANAGED TO EAT MY LUNCH AND IMMEDIATELY STARTED FEELING BETTER. THE NEXT DAY; THIS SAME SUPVR COUNSELED ME ON MY PERFORMANCE THE DAY BEFORE ON E RADAR. I REMINDED THE SUPVR THAT I SAID THAT I WAS FATIGUED AND WASN'T FEELING 100% AND HAD REQUESTED TO ONLY BE ASSIGNED TO THE TWR. I FURTHER REMINDED THE SUPVR THAT I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS AGAINST FAA MGMNT POLICY TO CALL IN SICK DUE TO FATIGUE; WHICH THE SUPVR SAID YES; THAT IS CORRECT. THIS SAME SUPVR HAS A HABIT OF MAKING CTLRS MISS MEAL BREAKS AND WORKING MORE THAN 2 HRS ON POS WITHOUT BREAKS OR NOT OPENING UP OTHER RADAR POS WHEN REQUESTED BY FPL'S BECAUSE THE SUPVR IS LITERALLY AFRAID OF WORKING RADAR WHEN IT IS BUSY BECAUSE THE SUPVR HAD A BAD OPERROR RECENTLY.
