LATE RWY CHANGES ON SEAVU ARR TO LAX RESULTS IN LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC FOR A319 FLT CREW.

Narrative

SOCAL APCH CLRED US FOR THE SEAVU APCH TO RWY 25L. THE FMGS WAS PROGRAMMED FOR THE SEAVU APCH TO RWY 24R. AS THE PNF I CHANGED THE ARR TO MATCH THE CLRNC ISSUED TO US. ABOUT 10 SECONDS AFTER CONFIRMING AND ACTIVATING THE CHANGE APCH CALLED AND CHANGED THE CLRNC BACK TO RWY 24R. I CHANGED THE ARR BACK TO RWY 24R. ALONG WITH THESE CHANGES WERE NUMEROUS AIRSPEED CHANGES ASSIGNED BY THE APCH CTLR. THE VISIBILITY WAS MARGINAL FOR VISUAL APCHS; LOOKING DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN; BUT THE CTLR KEPT ASKING IF WE SAW THE ARPT. WHEN THE FO TOLD ME HE SAW THE ARPT I RPTED THAT WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT; AND WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH. THE CTLR ALSO POINTED OUT TFC AT 9 O'CLOCK ON FINAL TO A PARALLEL RWY. I NEVER HEARD THE APCH CTLR TELL US TO CONTACT THE TOWER. WE LANDED ON RWY 24R AND TURNED CLR ON THE REVERSE HIGH SPEED AND HELD SHORT OF RWY 24L. AS WE WERE SITTING THERE WE HEARD ON THE RADIO 'ACR X CONTACT TOWER NOW ON 133.9'. I LOOKED AT THE RADIO AND SAW WE WERE STILL ON APCH CTL. I LOOKED AT THE FO AND SAID 'I THINK WE JUST LANDED WITHOUT LNDG CLRNC.' WE SWITCHED TO TOWER FREQ AND RPTED HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 24L. THE TOWER CTLR SAID 'ACR X; NICE TO TALK TO YOU -- CLRED TO CROSS RWY 24L AND CONTACT GND'. WE CALLED GND CTL AS WE CLRED RWY 24L AND RECEIVED TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO GATE 10; AND TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
