Narrative
DEPARTING FROM ZZZ WE WERE HANDED TO DEP. DURING OUR CLB TO 4000 FT MSL; BEFORE LEVELING OFF; WE WERE ADVISED BY THE CTLR THAT HE WAS SHOWING US AT 4700 FT MSL. AT THIS TIME WE XCHKED ALL 3 ALTIMETERS AND THE STANDBY WAS THE ONLY ONE CLOSE AT 4530 FT MSL. WE CORRECTED USING THE STANDBY AND SWITCHED XPONDERS ALSO. WE THEN ASKED THE CTLR OUR ALT AND WAS TOLD 4100 FT MSL AND WE WERE SHOWING 4000 FT MSL IN OUR STANDBY. AS WE CONTINUED OUR CLB; WE WERE TROUBLESHOOTING THE SITUATION. OUT OF 13200 FT MSL; THE OFF FLAG APPEARED IN THE R-HAND ALTIMETER AND A BIG SWING IN BOTH ALTIMETERS. AT THIS POINT; ALL 3 ALTIMETERS WERE SHOWING THE SAME ALT AND SEEMED TO BE CORRECT. THE REST OF OUR FLT WE MONITORED THE SITUATION AND NEVER SAW ANY OTHER OCCURRENCES. THIS ACFT WENT INTO HVY MAINT AND A COMPLETE STRIP AND PAINT IN THE END OF 2007; AND RETURNED INTO SVC IN MARCH 2008. THE PITOT TUBES WERE REPLACED DURING THE MAINT. THIS WAS THE FIRST TRIP WITH THE ACFT. WE LANDED AT ZZZ ON MAR/XX/08 AND PLACED COVERS ON THE ENGS AND PITOT TUBES. WHILE ON THE GND AT ZZZ; IT SAT THROUGH HVY RAIN AND WINDS. THE COPLT RPTED NOTHING OUT OF THE NORM DURING THE PREFLT. THE ACFT IS BEING CHKED.
