Q400 FLIGHT ATTENDANT REPORTS LOOSE CART ROLLING DOWN AISLE DURING APPROACH ON FERRY FLIGHT.
Narrative
IT WAS A FERRY FLT. WE HAD ALREADY FLOWN 2 FLTS THAT DAY AND I WAS THE 'B' FLT ATTENDANT. EACH LNDG; EVERYTHING WAS STOWED AND LATCHED PROPERLY. THE ACFT X WENT MECHANICAL (THE MAIN CABIN DOOR) IN ZZZ1 AFTER ALL THE PAX DEPLANED. THE FLT CREW DEPLANED SHORTLY AFTER AND NO ONE TO MY KNOWLEDGE WAS ON THE ACFT; AGAIN; EXCEPT FOR THE FLT CREW AND MECHS. ONCE THE PLANES WERE FIXED; THE FLT CREW FERRIED IT BACK TO ZZZ2. I SAT IN ROW 5 AND THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANT SAT IN THE FLT DECK JUMPSEAT. ON OUR WAY INTO ZZZ2; I GOT UP AND STOOD BEHIND THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANT TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOW. JUST AS THE WHEELS WERE GOING DOWN AND I WAS JUST ABOUT TO HEAD BACK TO MY SEAT I HEARD A NOISE. I TURNED AROUND (I WAS STILL BEHIND THE FLT DECK JUMPSEAT AND BESIDE THE LAVATORY) AND ONE OF THE GALLEY CARTS HAD COME OUT AND WAS ROLLING DOWN THE AISLE AT A VERY FAST SPD. IT RAN RIGHT INTO ME; HITTING BOTH OF MY LEGS. I MANAGED TO PUSH IT BACK UP INTO THE CABIN IN FRONT OF ROW 1A AND TAKE MY SEAT FOR LNDG IN 1B. THE EVENT OCCURRED BECAUSE I DID NOT CHK TO MAKE SURE THE GALLEY EQUIP WAS STILL PROPERLY STOWED. I JUST ASSUMED BECAUSE THE ACFT HAD NOT BEEN IN USE AND WAS DOWN FOR A MECHANICAL PROB THAT THE GALLEY WOULD STILL BE STOWED AND LATCHED THE SAME AND IN THE PROPER WAY AS I HAD LEFT IT.
