Narrative
ON APCH WE SELECTED GEAR DOWN AND DID NOT SEE A GREEN INDICATION FOR R MAIN GEAR. WE TESTED LIGHTS; TESTED GOOD; THEN RECYCLED GEAR WITH STILL NO DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATION. AT THAT POINT WE ELECTED TO GO AROUND AND PROCEEDED TO CIRCLE THE ARPT WHILE WE WORKED THE PROB. EVENTUALLY; WE CLBED TO 10000 FT MSL SO THAT WE COULD GET A GOOD SIGNAL FOR ACFT PHONE AND CALLED THE MANUFACTURER. THEY CONCURRED THAT WE HAD COMPLETED ALL OF THE CHKLIST ITEMS AND THAT NOTHING MORE COULD BE DONE TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION EXCEPT THOSE PROCS IN THE EMER CHKLIST. WE PROCEEDED BACK TO ZZZ WHERE EMER EQUIP WAS STANDING BY. WE COMPLETED THE LAST ITEM ON THE EMER CHKLIST WHICH INCLUDED 'BLOWING' THE EMER NITROGEN GEAR BOTTLE FOR SAFETY REASONS AND PROCEEDED WITH AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG. WE DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER AS FUEL OR WX WAS NOT A CONSIDERATION AND ATC MERELY VECTORED US CLR OF OTHER TFC WHILE WE DEALT WITH THE GEAR SIT. WE WERE INFORMED LATER THAT ATC HAD DECLARED AN ATC EMER. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ANY TFC CONFLICTS OR DEV FROM REGS OCCURRED DURING THIS TIME. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR THE LANDING GEAR INDICATION SYSTEM WAS FOUND TO BE DANGLING IN THE WHEEL WELL ON POST FLIGHT. IT WAS APPARENTLY NOT CORRECTLY FASTENED DURING THE LAST MAINTENANCE CYCLE.
