BREAKDOWN IN COM BETWEEN CAPT AND FO OF GLF3 RESULTS IN FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH TEB SID.

Narrative

AFTER BRIEFED THE SID WITH THE COPLT ON THE GND; SOON AFTER TKOF RWY 24; REACHING 1500 FT AS I START TO MAKE MY TURN TO HDG 280; COPLT WITH SID CHARTS IN FRONT OF HIM; CALL MY ATTENTION TO NOT TURN UNTIL THE 4.5 DME; WHICH IT WAS NOT WHAT IT WAS BRIEFED ON THE GND BEFORE TKOF; SINCE HE WAS READING THE SID WHEN HE CALLED TO STOP THE TURN AND KEEP GOING STRAIGHT ON THE RWY HDG; I DID SO; DUE TO WHAT I'VE GOT DISTRACTED IN THE INTENT TO RE-READ AS FAST AS I COULD THE SID CHART IN FRONT OF ME; AND BUSTED FOR 380 FT THE PUBLISHED ALT OF 1500 FT. IMMEDIATELY BEFORE I COULD TAKE ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION THE DEP CTL CALLS FOR ALT AND HDG TO BE ON; WHICH I CORRECTED; I THINK EVEN BEFORE HE WAS HALF OF THE WAY ON THE INSTRUCTION. ONCE ON THE GND AT DEST; I HAD A DEBRIEFING WITH MY COPLT MAKING HIM REALIZE THIS SERIOUS MISTAKE. AS CAPT; I DO ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY ON THIS INCIDENT AND FOR WHAT I COULD SEE ON THE TCAS THERE WAS NO OTHER ACFT IN THE AREA THAT COULD BE AFFECTED FOR THIS MISUNDERSTANDING.
