B737-700 DIVERTS TO A CIVIL ARPT FOLLOWING A CARGO FIRE WARNING ALARM. MET BY LOCAL LEO DEMANDING CAPTAIN IDENTIFICATION; INCLUDING SSN.

Narrative

AFTER DECLARING AN EMER AND DIVERTING TO ZZZ DUE TO AN INFLT AFT CARGO FIRE INDICATION; WE ARRIVED AT THE GATE TO DEPLANE PAX. DURING DEPLANEMENT; I WAS CONFRONTED BY A LCL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL. THIS INDIVIDUAL TOLD ME THAT HE NEEDED SOME INFO. I SAID; 'WHAT INFO DO YOU NEED?' HE SAID THAT HE NEEDED MY NAME; SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER; HOME ADDRESS; HOME TELEPHONE NUMBER; AND CERTIFICATE NUMBER. BEING UNCOMFORTABLE GIVING OUT PERSONAL INFO BEYOND THE NORMAL BASIC INFO; I TOLD HIM THAT MY LAST NAME WAS MR X AND THAT HE COULD CALL OUR CORPORATE OFFICE AND GET WHATEVER INFO HE NEEDED FROM THEM. I THEN OFFERED HIM THE COMPANY PHONE NUMBER. HE SAID THAT HE ALREADY HAD IT AND PRESSED ME AGAIN. I TOLD HIM I HAD OTHER DUTIES TO ATTEND TO AND THAT I WOULD BE BACK. IN THE MEANTIME I SUMMONED AND SPOKE WITH A COMPANY CHK PLT THAT WAS ON OUR FLT TO DISCUSS THE MATTER. SHE WENT WITH ME TO SPEAK TO HIM AGAIN. HE WAS STILL NOT WILLING TO JUST CALL COMPANY TO OBTAIN THE PERSONAL INFO THAT HE FELT HE NEEDED. I THEN CALLED MY CHIEF PLT AND HE SUGGESTED THAT I GIVE HIM MY NAME AND AIRMAN CERTIFICATE NUMBER. I WENT TO FIND THE LCL OFFICER AND HE HAD ALREADY LEFT THE GATE AREA. THE OFFICER LEFT WITH ONLY MY LAST NAME. I WOULD HAVE BEEN COMFORTABLE GIVING HIM MY BASIC INFO BUT WHEN HE PRESSED ME ABOUT MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER; I FELT THAT THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE IT WAS TO DIRECT HIM TO COMPANY AND TRUST COMPANY TO GIVE OUT WHATEVER INFO WAS APPROPRIATE.
