B737-500 FLT CREW RECEIVES NOTIFICATION VIA ACARS THAT DANGEROUS GOODS ARE ONBOARD; THEY REQUEST THE APPROPRIATE FORM AND ARE TOLD THE DANGEROUS GOODS DID NOT MAKE THE FLIGHT. UPON POST FLIGHT WALK AROUND; DANGEROUS GOODS ARE DISCOVERED ONBOARD.

B737-500 FLT CREW RECEIVES NOTIFICATION VIA ACARS THAT DANGEROUS GOODS ARE ONBOARD; THEY REQUEST THE APPROPRIATE FORM AND ARE TOLD THE DANGEROUS GOODS DID NOT MAKE THE FLIGHT. UPON POST FLIGHT WALK AROUND; DANGEROUS GOODS ARE DISCOVERED ONBOARD.
Narrative
WE RECEIVED A FLT SVC INFO SHEET AND PLANNED WT MANIFEST INDICATING DANGEROUS GOODS ONBOARD. AFTER PUSHBACK; WE REALIZED WE HAD NOT RECEIVED OUR PLT NOTIFICATION FOR DANGEROUS GOODS FORM FROM THE RAMP. WE HELD OUR POS JUST OFF THE GATE AND CONTACTED OPS TO COORDINATE THE DELIVERY OF THE DANGEROUS GOODS FORM VIA THE FUEL STICK. WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR INFO; LOAD PLANNING SENT FINAL WTS INDICATING DANGEROUS GOOD ONBOARD. AFTER SEVERAL MINS; RAMP CTL CONTACTED US TO TELL US THAT THE RAMP LEAD WHO LOADED THE ACFT SAID THAT NO DANGEROUS GOODS HAD BEEN LOADED ON THE ACFT. CAPT CONTACTED OPS AND ASKED OPS TO VERIFY THAT NO DANGEROUS GOODS HAD BEEN LOADED ON FIX X. OPS RPTED THAT THE RAMP LEAD HAD SAID THAT THE DANGEROUS GOODS HAD BEEN EXPECTED TO ARRIVE PLANESIDE FOR BOARDING; BUT THAT THE DANGEROUS GOODS PACKAGE WAS STILL IN THE STAGING AREA. CAPT SENT AN ACARS MESSAGE TO LOAD PLANNING; ASKING THAT THE FINAL WT MANIFEST BE RESENT WITH THE DANGEROUS GOODS RPTED CORRECTLY. PRIOR TO TKOF; LOAD PLANNING SENT THE FINAL WT MANIFEST INDICATING THAT NO DANGEROUS GOODS WERE ON BOARD. AFTER ARR AT ZZZ AND DURING THE WALKAROUND FOR THE SUBSEQUENT FLT; I OBSERVED THE GND CREW INVESTIGATING A DANGEROUS GOODS PACKAGE. I ASKED IF IT HAD COME OFF THE INBOUND; AND WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD. WHEN I RPTED THE EVENTS OF OUR DEP; THE RAMP LEAD TOLD ME THAT HE HAD RECEIVED A PHONE CALL PRIOR TO OUR ARR (AT LEAST 30 MINS PRIOR TO OUR DEP) CONCERNING THE PACKAGE. HE HAD BEEN TOLD TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THE PACKAGE BECAUSE THE PACKAGE HAD BEEN PREPARED INCORRECTLY. THE AMOUNT OF DRY ICE IN THE PACKAGE WAS RPTED AS 18 LBS; WHICH IS ABOVE THE LIMIT FOR A SINGLE AREA. I RELAYED THE INFO ON CAPT. CAPT CONTACTED OUR FLT MGR WITH OUR CONCERNS. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION; CAPT AND I FOUND THE PLT NOTIFICATION FOR DANGEROUS GOODS FORM IN THE DOCUMENTS POCKET ON THE SIDE OF THE PACKAGE.
