AN EMB-145 FLIGHT CREW EXPERIENCED LOSS OF THRUST AND LOSS OF THROTTLE CONTROL ON AN ILS APPROACH AND LANDED WITH THE ENGINE AT FLIGHT IDLE. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TO RESET FADEC CIRCUIT BREAKERS; RUN THE ENGINE; AND RELEASE IT FOR DEPARTURE.

AN EMB-145 FLIGHT CREW EXPERIENCED LOSS OF THRUST AND LOSS OF THROTTLE CONTROL ON AN ILS APPROACH AND LANDED WITH THE ENGINE AT FLIGHT IDLE. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TO RESET FADEC CIRCUIT BREAKERS; RUN THE ENGINE; AND RELEASE IT FOR DEPARTURE.
Narrative
WHILE ON AN ILS APCH INTO ZZZ WE LOST CTL OVER OUR #1 ENG. THE ACFT'S ENG COMPUTER ON THE #1 ENG COMMANDED FLT IDLE THRUST AND WE WERE UNABLE TO PRODUCE ANY THRUST FROM THAT ENG MANUALLY WITH THE THRUST LEVER. THIS EVENT OCCURRED AT APPROX 200 FT. DURING A FULL ILS APCH WITH THE WX AT MINIMUMS. I NOTICED THAT THE PLANE STARTED SINKING AROUND 200 FT BUT THOUGHT THE CAPT WAS JUST DSNDING TOWARDS THE RWY. ONCE WE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP OUR EICAS DISPLAYED THE MESSAGE 'E1 TCA INOP.' WE PROCEEDED TO THE GATE AND WROTE UP THE PROB AND CONTACTED MAINT. LATER THAT NIGHT A CONTRACT MAINT MAN SHOWED UP; THEN RESET THE FADEC CIRCUIT BREAKERS; DID AN ENG RUN-UP AND WROTE OFF THE MAINT ITEM AS 'OPS CHKS GOOD.' THE PLANE FLEW THE NEXT MORNING WITH PAX AS NORMAL. I BELIEVE THAT A MALFUNCTION OF THIS SORT; MAINT SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO JUST RESET CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND CONTINUE ON AS NORMAL. IN THIS CASE A GAR WOULD HAVE BEEN SINGLE-ENG IN FULL IMC CONDITIONS. I HOPE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN; BUT I'M AFRAID IT WILL IF NOTHING CHANGES IN THE FUTURE. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
