Narrative
OUR DEP FROM LCK WAS NORMAL EXCEPT FOR A COMMENT FROM THE COPLT (WHO WAS FLYING) THAT THE NOSE FELT HEAVY ON ROTATION. CLB WAS NORMAL EXCEPT THAT THE LAST FEW THOUSAND FT WERE SLOW FOR AN ACFT OF 739221 LBS GTOW (MAX GROSS 820000 LBS). FUEL BURN WAS SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN NORMAL. ENRTE AND LNDG NORMAL. UPON ARR PANC WE ASKED OPS IF WE COULD HAVE BEEN HEAVIER THAN SHOWN. THEY TOLD US THAT 33840# OF BELLY FREIGHT WAS LEFT OFF THE WT AND BALANCE AT LCK. TWO FACTORS STAND OUT HERE: 1) GND OPS WAS UNDER PRESSURE TO DEPART US RAPIDLY AS WE WERE RUNNING OUT OF DUTY TIME (WE DEPARTED 3 MINS BEFORE CANCELLING). 2) NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE BY THE ACR COMPANY TO CONTACT US ENRTE AND INFORM US OF THE OVERLOAD CONDITION. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPT WAS MADE TO COMPANY AND AN INVESTIGATION IS IN PROGESS. DISPATCH WAS AWARE OF THE ERROR LONG BEFORE THE FLT ARRIVED AT DEST. NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THEY WERE NOT ADVISED. SUSPECTS SOME CHANGES ARE GOING TO BE MADE AND SOME HEADS MAY ROLL.
