SMA MISSED TURNOFF ON RWY AND TWR CTLR SENT SMT AROUND DUE TO UNKNOWN ACTIONS OF SMA.
Narrative
SMA Y WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 4R AT HONOLULU. I WAS THEN CLRED TO LAND ON 4R; HOLD SHORT OF 8L. SPACING WAS ABOUT 3 TO 4 MILES ON BASE LEG. WHEN SMA Y TOUCHED DOWN ON THE RWY I WAS ABOUT TWO MILES ON FINAL; AT FINAL APCH SPEED AND IN LNDG CONFIGN. THE TWR OPERATION INSTRUCTED SMA Y TO TURN LEFT ONTO DELTA TAXIWAY AFTER ASKING WHERE HE PLANNED TO PARK. WHEN I WAS IN THE FINAL FLARE FOR TOUCHDOWN OVER THE END OFF THE RWY I COULD SEE THE SMA Y IN A LEFT TURN AT THE LEFT EDGE OF THE RWY. (THE HONOLULU TWR IS AUTHORIZED TO LAND ACFT ON THE SAME RWY WHEN 4500' OF RWY IS BETWEEN LNDG ACFT.) AS I COMPLETED THE TOUCHDOWN THE SMA Y MADE A RIGHT TURN (MISSED HIS TURN OFF AT DELTA TAXIWAY) AND PROCEEDED TO TAXI ALONG THE LEFT EDGE OF THE RWY. THE TWR OPERATOR INSTRUCTED ME TO EXECUTE A GO AROUND. WHILE I WAS CAPABLE OF STOPPING SAFELY BEHIND THE SMA Y I EXECUTED WHAT WAS NOW A TOUCH AND GO LNDG AN UNEVENTFUL VFR TFC PATTERN AND FINAL LNDG. THE LNDG SEPARATION DISTANCE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE UNSAFE AND A SUBSEQUENT TELEPHONE CALL TO THE TWR OPERATOR REVEALED THAT HE DIRECTED THE GO AROUND BECAUSE THE SMA Y MISSED THE TURN OFF.
