ACR LTT WRONG RWY APCH LNDG.
Narrative
ON APCH TO EWR WE WERE TOLD TO KEEP THE SPD UP AS LONG AS FEASIBLE (WE WERE AT 180 KTS). AFTER BEING CLRED FOR VOR DME RWY 22R APCH; WE THEN CONTACTED THE TWR. WE ACKNOWLEDGED VOR (TEB) INBND FOR RWY 22R. WE STARTED TO DSND. PRIOR TO FAF WE WERE TOLD OF TFC AT 12-1 O'CLOCK AND LESS THAN A MILE; ALT UNKNOWN. WE TEMPORARILY LEVELED OFF AND WERE DIRECTING ATTN OUTSIDE. ARPT RWY WAS NOT IN SITE. AT XING FAF WE SLOWED FROM 180 KTS AND CONTINUED WITH APCH AND UNEVENTFUL LNDG. WE WERE TOLD TO CROSS RWY 22R AND CONTACT GND CTL. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE NOTHING WAS SAID OF ANY ERROR OR DEVIATION ON OUR PART. AFTER 25 MINS; WE DEPARTED AS SCHEDULED TO MDT; AND UPON LNDG WE WERE INFORMED OF NECESSITY TO CALL EWR OPS. AT THIS TIME WE WERE CONNECTED TO EWR TWR AND WERE INFORMED OF MISTAKE (LNDG ON RWY 22L). THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO EITHER OF THE 2 PAX OR THE ACFT. WE DID NOT EVEN REALIZE OUR MISTAKE UNTIL ALMOST 2 HRS LATER WHEN WE WERE ADVISED TO CALL EWR OPS WHO THEN CONNECTED US WITH EWR TWR.
