Narrative
WE PUSHED BACK FROM G CONCOURSE AT MIA. THEN CLRNC WAS TAXIING TO RWY 9L VIA TXWY Q. AS I APCHED RWY 12/30 ON TXWY Q6 I COULD NOT SEE A SIGN FOR TXWY Q. I ASKED THE COPLT IF HE SAW IT ANYWHERE. HE WAS NONRESPONSIVE. I APPARENTLY BECAME DISORIENTED BECAUSE I MISTOOK THE RWY 9R PARALLEL TXWY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF RWY 12/30 FOR TXWY Q. IN MY MIND AT THE TIME I THOUGHT; IF WE ARE CLRED TO Q; WE ARE CLRED ACROSS RWY 12/30. I SAW THE LIGHTS OF AN ACFT THAT APPEARED TO BE HOLDING IN POS FOR US ON RWY 12 AND EXPEDITED ACROSS. I GOT MY ORIENTATION BACK AS WE CLRED RWY 12 AND SET THE BRAKES TO GET FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FROM GND. HE WAS CALLING US THEN. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 98364: BOTH THE CAPT AND F/O ARE NEW TO THE ACFT. I HAD JUST COMPLETED INITIAL OPERATING EXPERIENCE 17 DAYS BEFORE AND THIS WAS THE FIRST TRIP (SECOND LEG FOR THE DAY) SINCE THAT TIME. NIGHT TIME OPS AT LARGE AND NOT SO FAMILIAR ARPT. HAD I NOT VIOLATED ONE OF MY OWN RULES; THAT IS; HAVING AN ARPT DIAGRAM OUT IN PLAIN VIEW; I DON'T BELIEVE THIS INCIDENT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.
