What happened

During a scheduled medical transport flight, a twin-engine airplane went down in the vicinity of Samokov. The aircraft was operating an ambulance service, traveling from its point of origin in Sofia toward its destination in Haskovo.

While navigating the Rila Mountain range, the aircraft impacted the terrain. The accident resulted in the deaths of all four occupants on board. There were no survivors reported at the scene of the crash.
