An aircraft crashed into hilly, forested terrain in the Bertam region while conducting a supply mission, resulting in no survivors.

What happened

During a mission intended to deliver supplies to a remote police station in the Bertam region, an aircraft crashed into a heavily wooded and hilly area. The flight was operating at a low altitude when the crew encountered significantly reduced visibility caused by dense fog. This loss of visual reference led to the impact with the terrain.

Search teams located the wreckage several days after the incident occurred. There were no survivors among the occupants of the aircraft; all eight people on board were killed in the accident.

Findings

  • The primary factor contributing to the crash was poor visibility resulting from foggy conditions during low-altitude flight.
  • The terrain at the site of the impact was characterized by hills and dense vegetation.

Probable cause
