Synopsis
First Officer reported loss of #2 Generator in cruise. The flight crew was able to bring the generators back on line and completed a diversion and landing.
Narrative
#2 Generator failure. At cruise several minutes before the ETP the aircraft chimed with and ECAM and the right side of the aircraft went dark. There were a number of amber ECAM Messages that did not appear to be related. The #2 generator dropped off line. EPR Mode failed and we placed the engines in N1 mode as directed by the ECAM. At some point the FAs (Flight Attendants) called to say they noticed a loss of electricity and I told them to please standby as we were working the issue. We tried to reset the #2 generator it dropped off 2-3 seconds after re engagement. The Captain started the APU and it did not automatically bring its generator online. We attempted one more generator reset on #2 and on the second time It failed 2-3 seconds after re engagement the APU generator came online and began to power the right side of the aircraft.Due to the EPR failure we matched the throttle N1 settings and decided that we had maintained aircraft control. Since the FO (First Officer) side had the ACARS written up I offered to fly the aircraft so the Captain could begin coordinating with Dispatch so we transferred aircraft control. An ECAM message appeared me told us to turn off FAC 2 but I do not recall what ECAM that was. Other ECAM messages that I can recall were displayed include: AUTO FLT YAW DAMPER 2AUTO FLT RUD TRIM 2 FAULTNAV LS TUNING DISAGREE with check BARO REF Once we had two generators online and we were confident the aircraft was in a flyable condition the Captain discussed with Maintenance and Dispatch we decided to land at ZZZ due to greater support there. We flew vectors to the ILS XXC to and uneventful landing. ARFF vehicles met us when we cleared the runway and allowed us to proceed to the gate.We were later dispatched on another aircraft to ZZZ1 2 hours later.
