Narrative
THE BOSS DECIDED TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN POF AND LEAVE EARLY NEXT AM. THE PAST 3 DAYS WE HAD EARLY DEPS AND IN THE MOTEL AROUND XA00 PM EACH NIGHT. TRACKING INBOUND TO THE LEBANON NDB FROM THE E 15 DME OUT SLIGHTLY S OF COURSE THE ADF NEEDLE STARTED TO SWING AND THE LOC STARTED TO COME IN. IT APPEARED WE OR I WAS INTERCEPTING THE LOC ABOUT 4 MI S OF PYLER INTXN. ZKC CAUGHT THE MISTAKE QUICKLY BECAUSE I WAS CLOSE TO A RESTR AREA ALSO IN THE AREA WE WERE IMC AND MODERATE TURB. WHILE I WAS TURNING TO INTERCEPT THIS FALSE LOC I LOST ABOUT 400 FT FROM 3200 DOWN TO 2800 WHICH CENTER AND I BOTH CAUGHT RIGHT AWAY. WELL; I FINALLY GOT HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I FLEW TO THE NDB; DID THE PROC TURN; INBOUND ON THE LOC. THE WIND WAS STRONG OUT OF THE S. BY THE TIME I DSNDED TO 2000 MSL I WAS ALREADY PAST THE ARPT; SO I DID A MISSED APCH; ASKED KANSAS CITY FOR RADAR VECTORS THIS TIME. WHILE CENTER WAS VECTORING ME ONTO THE LOC; I NOTICED I DIDN'T EVEN RAISE THE GEAR. WELL; I LEFT IT DOWN; FINISHED THE APCH; BROKE OUT AT CIRCLING MINS ON THE SDF 36 APCH; CIRCLED TO LAND ON RWY 18. IT WAS NIGHT OR DARK STILL AND ABOUT 5-7 MI VISIBILITY. LANDED UNEVENTFUL. I TOLD THE MECH ABOUT THE ADF; HOWEVER; I DON'T THINK HE WILL FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I THINK IT IS PLT FATIGUE THE WHOLE WAY.
