Synopsis
A320 pilot reported an avionics smoke ECAM prior to descent extinguished but returned later as flight continued to destination.
Narrative
Prior our descent to ZZZ we had a master caution indication and an ECAM message for Smoke: avionics smoke. Then we performed the ECAM actions; [advised ATC] and we both decided to divert to ZZZ1. We had no indication of smoke or fumes inside the cockpit nor the cabin. As soon as we turned to ZZZ1 the ECAM message disappeared and since we were close to initiating the descent to ZZZ we decided to cancel the [priority handling] and continue to ZZZ. Later; during the descent to ZZZ and approximately 10 minutes after the indication went out; we had the ECAM avionics smoke message again. [Requested priority handling] one more time; running the ECAM and flying fast to get the aircraft on the ground as soon as possible. After an assessment we decided to continue to ZZZ. The Captain informed the company; flight attendants (FAs) and the passengers of the situation. Once on ground a firefighter team checked the aircraft for any smoke indication; the passengers were well aware of what was happening. After the inspection we continued to the assigned parking spot; deplaning the aircraft normally. Ground personnel also checked the avionics compartment. This was the last flight as part of my IOE.
