Narrative

One hour into flight at FL350 after just entering ZZZ airspace past ZZZZZ intersection we received a HYD Y RSV LO LVL ECAM.I followed the company procedure and transferred control to the FO and then ran the ECAM actions and completed the QRH procedure. We confirmed loss of yellow system fluid via systems page. I then called dispatch via SATCOM and had MX (Maintenance) control and Chief Pilot on duty patched in. After conferring the decision was made to divert to ZZZ1 airport for recovery.Via HF (no CPDLC on this aircraft) we coordinated the diversion with ZZZ center and were given direct ZZZ1 airport. We consulted the manual to establish a degradation factor for landing performance and then applied that the landing data and consulted against the baseline numbers from the manual. I consulted with and briefed the Purser and made a PA to the customers which the Purser translated into another language. We then ran the Overweight Landing procedure as a precaution but landed under the max landing weight at ZZZ1. ZZZ1 ATC gave us our choice of runways so l asked for XXL. The approach and landing were normal with the loss of a few systems from the failure. We parked the aircraft as per the QRH procedure with no parking brake available. CFR (Crash Fire Rescue) followed us to the gate. Maintenance met the aircraft and we deplaned normally.
